Hi, I’m Jia Budelsky, a junior at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Finance. I’m passionate about brand marketing, PR & events, and social media strategy, and I thrive in dynamic environments where I can bring brands to life through creative storytelling and compelling content.

Through my experiences at Veterans United Home Loans, Kiki on the River, and Gela Beach, I’ve developed expertise in content creation, digital marketing, and brand storytelling. I’ve worked on crafting engaging social media strategies, building brand identities, and creating content that resonates with audiences. My curiosity for global markets was further shaped by my Semester at Sea program, where I gained firsthand insights into international business and consumer behavior.

Beyond marketing, I’m always looking for ways to connect, create, and inspire—whether through crafting impactful campaigns, curating engaging social content, or capturing brand aesthetics through visual media. I’m currently looking for opportunities in social media marketing or any area of marketing where I can apply my creativity and passion for brand storytelling.

My time at UM has also allowed me to expand my leadership skills, network with industry professionals, and engage in diverse extracurriculars that have shaped my professional growth.

Semester at Sea
Semester at Sea was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that expanded my global perspective through immersive travel and academic exploration. While studying international relations, geography, oceanography, and global studies, I had the unique opportunity to engage with diverse cultures and witness global issues firsthand. From meeting the Vice President of the House of Representatives in Morocco to exploring historical and ecological landmarks around the world, these experiences deepened my understanding of global connections, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication.

At Cathedral Catholic High School, I maintained a 4.12 cumulative weighted GPA while balancing academics, leadership, and athletics. As captain of the varsity girls' water polo team, I developed strong leadership, teamwork, and time management skills. I also served as an Ambassador for Christ Corps, representing the school through campus tours, shadow days, and enrollment events. These experiences strengthened my ability to connect with others, lead by example, and excel in both academic and extracurricular settings.
